Dubbo solicitors Andrew Boog of Austen Brown Boog Solicitors and Jai Silkman of Silkman Hockey Lawyers have announced their decision to merge their respective businesses to better serve the Dubbo community and the Central West.
Austen Brown Boog, being originally founded in Broken Hill in 1888, expanded to Dubbo in 1995. Andrew Boog joined the firm in Broken Hill in 1983 and became sole owner of the business in 2001. Mr Boog says he decided it was time for ‘young blood’ to guide the firm and ensure its life well into the future. Andrew is an Accredited Specialist in Business Law.
Silkman Hockey Lawyers (previously Kevin Hockey & Associates) was renamed in 2019 after Principal Solicitor and Director Jai Silkman purchased the firm from Mr Kevin Hockey. For Mr Silkman, the merger represents the next phase of growth and service to Dubbo and the Central West region. Mr Silkman is “excited by the value and knowledge that the merger will bring to supporting our current and future clients”.
The merger is set to take place on the 1st of October, and the firm will hence forth be known as Silkman Austen Brown. Mr Silkman and Mr Boog, both experienced experts in their respective fields, will continue to offer the same level of service their clients are accustomed to.
The expanded legal team will be located at the current Silkman Hockey premises on Talbragar Street. There will be no staff changes and the two offices will form one team. Silkman Austen Brown look forward to building on the strong foundations that both firms have established in bringing their clients quality, personal and people focused legal services.
